The Seiferth Scoop!
Papua New Guinea Projects
The island nation of Papua New Guinea has about 800 different and unique tribal languages or cultures. The harsh, difficult terrain has left parts of it virtually untouched by the outside world; the people living there are truly at the ends of the earth. As such, many are still without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Simbai House Construction Projects
ABWE has multiple efforts going on throughout the country. One ABWE church-planting team comprised of the Smiths, Tobiases, Wagners and Melanie Shustack is working with the peoples in and around the Simbai area in the interior of PNG. Please visit http://www.simbai.com/ for an overview of this team and their ministry. Praise God for their efforts and the fruit of their ministry there! We are excited to be able to help this dedicated team by assisting with house construction projects for both the Wagners and Melanie as they join the team in Simbai this year. Please pray that God blesses our efforts to further His gospel in this spiritually dark region of the world.
Goroka Baptist Bible College Expansion
The
· GBBC Staff House- We hope to build a house so that the school may expand its national staff that works at the college. This is a 3-bedroom house that would house a national teacher and his family. We estimate that this house will cost about $30,000. This project has now become the top GBBC project. We would like to see this house built in 2008.
· GBBC Married Student Housing- There are usually more married students that apply to go to GBBC than they have space for. (What a great problem to have!) There are plans for the building of 4 married student houses (15 by 20ft houses or apartments). We estimate the cost to be $3,000 each - $12,000 total. Funds for one house have been provided.
We will be adding about 1100 square feet to this small house for the Wagner family of 4

Melanie Shustack is a single missionary just joining the Simbai team, too. Lord willing, we will build her house later in 2008.
Please let Fred know if you are interested in going on a work team to help on any of these projects in Papua New Guinea.
